How to reset or factory restore Motorola WX161 device?
The Motorola WX161 is a pager that allows you to send and receive emergency or alert messages. It comes with a lot of features like three-page home screen, voice, PIN unlock codes, and more. Here are the most common and recommended ways to reset or factory restore a Motorola WX161:
Method 1: With the "Clear All" Button
1. Turn off the phone by pulling out the battery.
2. Flip the phone over and push the "Clear All" button located on the back.
3. Hold down the button for about 15 seconds, and then release.
4. You should see a message on the screen that says "Reset Alert Message". Select "OK" to proceed.
5. Enter your homepage number to reset it to the default settings.
6. The phone will restart, and you should see the Motorola logo on the screen.
Method 2: With a Keycode Lock
1. Turn off the phone by pulling out the battery.
2. Flip the phone over and enter the Keycode Lock to unlock the phone. The default code is "000".
3. Once you are logged in, go to the "Messages" menu and select "Maint".
4. Press "1" to clear internal memory and "2" to clear homepage parameters.
