How to reset or factory restore a Allview P2 AllDro device?
Resetting or factory restoring a device is the process of restoring the device to its original state, completely wiping out all data, settings, and applications on the device. It is recommended when the device is no longer functioning properly, when you want to start fresh with a new device, or when you want to perform a security wipe. There are several ways to reset or factory restore an Allview P2 AllDro device:
1. Recovery Mode:
i. Turn off your device.
ii. Press and hold the "Volume Up" button, "Home" button, and the "Power" button simultaneously for about 20 seconds until the device goes into recovery mode.
iii. Use the Volume buttons to navigate through the menu options, and use the Home button to select the "Factory Data Reset" option.
iv. Confirm the action by selecting "Yes, Delete All User Data" or "Yes."
v. Wait for the device to reset, which may take a few minutes.
vi. When the device boots up, you will be prompted to set up the device as a new device.
Note: Factory Data Reset will erase all the data on your device, including your contacts, messages, and settings. Always make sure to back up your data before performing a reset.
2. PC/Mac:
i. Connect your device to your computer using a USB cable.
ii. Open the _ATL Assisted Support Tool_ on your computer. On Windows, go to _Compressed files tool_ > _Open Settings_ > _System_, then click "_ATL Assisted Support Tool_." On macOS, go to _Applications_ > _Application Support_ > _Symlinks Assisted Support Tool_ > _ATL Assisted Support Tool_.
iii. From the ATL Assisted Support Tool main menu, select "Data Wipe/Reset Device" and follow the prompts to reset the device to manufacturer settings.
iv. Once the device is reset, disconnect it from the computer and turn it on. You will be prompted to set up the device as a new device.
3. OTA (Over-the-Air):
Allview's OTA feature offers a convenient way to reset the device without connecting it to a computer. To perform an OTA reset on your Allview P2 AllDro device, follow these steps:
iv. Ensure that you have a Wi-Fi connection available on your device.
v. Go to Settings > About Device > Software Update.
vi. If an update is available, download and install it.
vii. After the update is installed, select "Force Stop" on the Settings > About Device > Software, then tap "Force Stop" on "Bloatware Optimizer" and "AllDro Gaming Center Guide".
viii. Select "Yes, I want to format the all applications and the system on the AllDro device."
ix. Wait for the device to reset, which may take a few minutes.
x. Once the device is reset, you will be prompted to set up the device as a new device.
