How to reset or factory restore ZTE Skate device?
The ZTE Skate is a mobile phone that can be reset or factory restored in case it becomes unresponsive, stuck, or has other issues that require a complete system restore. There are two ways to reset a ZTE Skate: using the hardware keys or using a computer. Here are the most common and recommended ways to reset a ZTE Skate:
Hardware Key Method:
1. Turn off your ZTE Skate.
2. Press and hold the power key (the Side key) for ten seconds until the Power Menu appears.
3. Select "Restart to bootloader" using the Volume buttons.
4. Connect your ZTE Skate to your computer using a USB cable.
5. Open a command prompt on your computer and navigate to the folder where the ZTE driver is installed.
6. Type "fastboot devices" to ensure your computer recognizes your ZTE Skate.
7. Type "fastboot reboot bootloader" to reboot your ZTE Skate into bootloader mode.
8. Type "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" to flash the recovery image onto your ZTE Skate.
9. Once the recovery image is flashed, type "fastboot reboot recovery" to reboot your ZTE Skate into recovery mode.
10. In recovery mode, select "Wipe data/factory data" and confirm the deletion of all user data.
11. Reboot your ZTE Skate and follow the on-screen instructions to set up your device.
Using a Computer:
1. Download and install the latest version of the ZTE USB driver on your computer.
2. Connect your ZTE Skate to your computer using a USB cable.
3. Open a command prompt on your computer and navigate to the folder where the ZTE driver is installed.
4. Type "fastboot devices" to ensure your computer recognizes your ZTE Skate.
5. Type "fastboot reboot bootloader" to reboot your ZTE Skate into bootloader mode.
