How to reset or factory restore Yezz Epic T7FD device?
A reset or factory restore is a mechanical way to return an electronic device to its initial state. When you perform a factory reset or factory restore, your device is restored back to its default settings, and all user data, applications, and settings are wiped. Factory resets or resets should only be performed when you want to completely erase your device's data and restore it to its initial state.
Here are three of the most common and recommended ways to reset or factory restore a Yezz Epic T7FD device:
1. Using the hardware reset button: This method is called a "hard reset" or "hard reboot" and requires physical access to the device's hardware. To perform a hard reset, follow these steps:
* Turn the device off by pressing and holding the power button until the screen goes black.
* Press and hold the power button and the "home" button simultaneously for about 30 seconds.
* After 30 seconds, release the "home" button, and keep pressing the power button until the device turns back on.
2. Using the recovery menu: This method involves navigating to the recovery menu (also known as the bootloader or fastboot menu) and selecting the option to factory reset the device. Here's how to access the recovery menu:
* Turn the device off by pressing and holding the power button until the screen goes black.
* Press and hold the power button and the "volume up" button simultaneously until the device turns back on. Release both buttons.
* Follow the on-screen instructions to select and enter your PIN or pattern.
* Once you're in the recovery menu, scroll down to "Factory data reset" and select it.
* Confirm the reset and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the reset.
3. Using a computer: This method requires access to a computer with USB debugging enabled on the device. You'll also need to install and install the Yezz Epic's recovery image (ROM file) on your computer. BS+ new mobile ROM, also called DateDi (http://www.datesdi.com/responsive/). Once you have the ROM image and all the prerequisites installed, follow these steps:
* Connect the device to the computer using a USB cable.
* Open a command prompt on your computer and navigate to the folder where the ROM image is stored.
* Input the following commands, one by one:
SANTIGO:fastboot devices
SANTIGO:fastboot reboot bootloader
SANTIGO:fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
SANTIGO:fastboot reboot
SANTIGO:fastboot flash USERDATA USERDATA.img
SANTIGO:fastboot reboot recovery
After entering all the commands and confirming the reset, the device will restart and be wiped, leaving the internal storage as the default settings.
Note: Essentially all these methods are very similar and are just alternative ways to perform a factory reset on the Yezz Epic. No method is inherently safer than the others, and you should only use a factory reset as a last resort, especially if your device does not respond to other methods for resolving problems. Additionally, all these methods will erase all data on the device, so make sure to backup any important data before performing a factory reset.
