How to reset or factory restore Tecno Spark Go 2022 device?
Tecno Spark Go 2022 is a very popular smartphone in Nigeria and other Asian countries. Like any other smartphone, it might face certain software problems that require you to reset or factory restore the device. There are a few methods to do this, but the most common and recommended ways are as follows:
Method 1: Reset to Default Settings
This method is not a full system reset but only restores some default settings. The device will keep all your apps and data, but they will be reset to their default settings.
To reset to default settings, follow these steps:
1. Turn off the phone by holding down the power button until it turns off.
2. Press the volume down button and the power button simultaneously until the Tecno logo appears on the screen.
3. Release the power button and press the volume down button until the Reset option appears on the screen.
4. Press the volume down button until you select Newsfeed and pray mode.
5. Press the power button and select recover.
6. In recovery mode, select wipe data/factory reset and wait for the system to complete the reset process.
7. Once the system has restarted, select wipe cache partition and wait for the system to fully reset.
Method 2: Boot into Recovery Mode and Wipe Data/Factory Reset
This method requires you to sync your data with your Google account before performing a factory reset. This is because this method will erase all data on your device.
To boot into recovery mode and wipe data/factory reset, follow these steps:
1. Turn off the phone by holding down the power button until it turns off.
2. Press the volume up button and the power button simultaneously until the Tecno logo appears on the screen.
3. Release the power button and press the volume down button until the Recovery mode option appears on the screen.
4. In recovery mode, select wipe data/factory reset and wait for the system to complete the reset process.
5. After the system has rebooted, select wipe cache partition and wait for the system to fully reset.
Method 3: Use PC Settings to Factory Reset
If you don't have a Google account or want to keep all your data secure, you can use PC settings to factory reset your device. You'll need a USB cable and a PC to perform this method.
To use PC settings to factory reset, follow these steps:
1. Install the Tecno Spark Go 2022 driver on your PC by deleting the Tecno folder in the Device Manager and adding the driver from a USB disk.
2. Connect your device to the PC using a USB cable.
3. Open Control Panel on the PC and navigate to Home settings > Tecno Spark Go 2022.
4. Select Back up my data and click on Backup.
5. Wait for the backup to complete and then select Factory data reset.
6. Confirm the reset and select Back up to local storage.
7. Wait for the system to fully reset and disconnect the device from the PC.
Note: Before performing a full system reset, it is essential to back up your data to a safe location.
