How to reset or factory restore Spice M-5115 device?
The Spice M-5115 is a smartphone that runs on the Android operating system (OS). There are two main ways to reset or factory restore an Android device: hard reset (factory reset) and soft reset (clear data/cache).
Hard reset (factory reset) involves erasing the entire smartphone and restoring it back to its factory state. This method should be used with caution as it will erase all data on the device. After performing a hard reset, the device will prompt you to set up the device as new.
Here are the steps to perform a hard reset on a Spice M-5115 device:
1. Go to Settings on the device.
2. Scroll down and tap Backup & Reset.
3. Tap Factory data reset.
4. Enter the PIN or pattern for the device.
5. Tap Delete all user data/factory reset.
A pop-up will appear asking if you want to delete all user data. Tap Yes to proceed, and the device will begin the factory reset process. This process may take several minutes. Once the process is complete, the device will restart and prompt you to set it up as new.
Soft reset (clear data/cache) erases only the cache and data of the device, but leaves the operating system and all system settings still intact. After performing a soft reset, the device will operate as if it were new.
Here are the steps to perform a soft reset on a Spice M-5115 device:
1. Go to Settings on the device.
2. Scroll down and tap Backup & Reset.
3. Tap Clear data/cache.
4. Confirm the action by tapping Yes.
It is highly recommended to perform a backup of your data before performing a factory or soft reset. Use an external backup solution such as Google Drive, Dropbox, or an third-party backup app. It is also recommended to use the manufacturer's backup solution if available.
