How to reset or factory restore Siemens CXT65 device?
Siemens CXT65 is a GSM/GPRS modem that allows devices to connect to a GSM network. Resetting the device is important in situations where the device is not functioning, or when you need to start using the device from the beginning. There are two common ways to reset a Siemens CXT65 device: by using the command line interface (CLI) or by pressing the reset button on the device.
1. Resetting via CLI:
a. Connect your computer to the device using a serial connection (for example, using a USB cable or a serial port).
b. Open a command prompt on your computer and enter the command "AT+SCOCONFIG=0,1" to enable the service profile configuration and "ATE0" to switch back to normal command mode.
c. Enter the command "AT+SCOCONFIG=0,9" to configure the Modem Profile to be saved in the memory. Use "0" and "9" as the Service Profile Index (SPI) numbers instead if you have multiple profiles.
d. Enter "AT+SCOCONFIG=0,10" to enable the API call after the modem has finished resetting.
e. Enter "AT+SCOCONFIG=0,8" to configure the Modem Profile to be saved in the memory. Use "0" and "8" as the Service Profile Index (SPI) numbers instead if you have multiple profiles.
f. Enter "AT+SCOCONFIG=0,1" to enable the service profile configuration.
g. Enter "AT+SCOCONFIG=0,11" to enable the API call after the modem has finished resetting.
h. Enter "AT+SCOCONFIG=0,9" to configure the Modem Profile to be saved in the memory. Use "0" and "9" as the Service Profile Index (SPI) numbers instead if you have multiple profiles.
i. Enter "AT+CLS" to clear the modem's command line interface.
j. Enter "ATAV" to enter Low Frequency mode.
k. Enter "AT+SCOCONFIG=0,1" to enable the service profile configuration.
l. Enter "AT+SCOCONFIG=0,11" to enable the API call after the modem has finished resetting.
m. Enter "AT+SCOCONFIG=0,9" to configure the Modem Profile to be saved in the memory. Use "0" and "9" as the Service Profile Index (SPI) numbers instead if you have multiple profiles.
n. Use "AT+SCOCONFIG=0,1" to enable the service profile configuration.
o. Enter "AT+SCOCONFIG=0,11" to enable the API call after the modem has finished resetting.
p. Use "AT+SCOCONFIG=0,10" to enable the API call after the modem has finished resetting.
q. Use "AT+SCOCONFIG=0,10" to enable the API call after the modem has finished resetting.
r. Use "AT+SCOCONFIG=0,0" to disable the API call after the modem has finished resetting.
2. Resetting via Reset Button:
a. Press and hold the reset button on the device until the LED light on the modem starts flashing.
b. After the LED light flashes a few times, information will start appearing on the serial monitor. Wait for the information to appear and continue next step.
c. Scroll through the information until you see the word "RESET".
d. Wait for the reset process to complete. This process can take a few minutes.
e. Press the reset button again.
f. Check if the device is reset by checking if the reset command works. Enter "AT" to check if the modem is reset.
Note: It is important to make sure you are using the correct commands and procedures, as resetting a device can erase all data and settings. Before resetting the device, make sure to save any important data and settings.
