How to reset or factory restore Samsung Galaxy Proclaim S720C device?
Resetting or factory restoring a Samsung Galaxy Proclaim S720C device may be performed in order to restore the default settings on your device, fix any software errors or have complete control over your phone again.
There are two ways to perform a factory reset or a reset on your Samsung Galaxy Proclaim S720C device, and these are:
1. Using the hardware buttons:
- Turn off your phone by pressing and holding the power button until your phone shuts down.
- Press and hold the Volume-up button and the Power button simultaneously until the Samsung logo appears.
- Release both buttons and press the Volume-down button to highlight Home.
- Press the Volume-up button two more times to highlight Yes wipe data/factory reset.

- Wait for 10 seconds and then press the Volume-up button two more times to highlight Yes wipe data/factory reset.
- The phone will start to reset the software. When the progress bar appears, wait until it finishes.
- The phone will restart, and the Samsung logo will appear.
Please note that this is a permanent data reset and all the data on your phone will be lost. Back up your data before attempting to perform a factory reset.
2. Using the recovery mode:
- Go to the phone settings menu and scroll down to the bottom and select "About phone."
- In the " About phone" section, select "Software information."
- Scroll down to the "Build number" section and tap on it several times until you unlock the "You are now a developer!" message.
- Go back to settings, and now you will see a new menu item called "Developer options."
- Scroll down to "USB computer connection" and turn on "Use USB debugging."
- Go to "Quick Start" and connect the device to your PC.
- Make sure that ADB driver is installed on your PC and the Samsung drivers are up-to-date. If not, then install them.
- In PowerShell or Command Prompt, navigate to the Parent folder and type the below command:
adb devices
- Wait for the device to show up and then type the below command:
adb reboot recovery
- Wait for the phone to turn on and you will see the recovery mode logo.
- Scroll down to "Wipe data/factory reset" and select it.
- Scroll down to "Yes wipe data/factory reset" and select it.
- Wait for the phone to reboot and the Samsung logo will appear.
It is also recommended to backup your data before performing a factory reset, especially if you have some important information on your phone. The process of backing up your data may differ depending on your phone settings, but you can use your smartphone's internal or external storage to save your data.
