How to reset or factory restore Pantech Link device?
1. Reset to default settings using a computer:
a. Connect the Pantech Link device to your computer using a USB cable.
b. Download and install the Pantech Link software from the official website.
c. Click on the "Pantech Link" icon in your computer's notification area or system tray.
d. Go to the "Setting" menu and select "Reset to default settings".
e. In the "Reset to Default Settings" dialog box, make sure you understand all the warning messages and check the box next to "Backup all file to my computer”.
f. Click "Yes" to begin the resetting process.
g. Wait for the device to restart and return to factory settings.
2. Reset to default settings by using a rotation lock:
a. Switch on your device and press the power button until it enters emergency mode or lock screen.
b. In emergency mode, press the centered cell phone button (the star button) several times, while holding down the up or down arrow keys.
c. A menu should appear, tap the arrow down button until "Reset Device" is highlighted.
d. Press the power button to activate the option.
e. The device will restart and return to factory settings.
3. Reset to default settings by using a silent code:
a. Turn off your device and wait for a few seconds to allow it to completely discharge.
b. Press and hold the power and call buttons simultaneously until the device enters recovery mode or lock screen.
c. In recovery mode, use the volume buttons to navigate through the menus and the power button to activate options.
d. Use the arrow button to go to the "Reset Device" option and press the power button to activate it.
e. The device will restart and return to factory settings.
When using any of these resetting methods, keep in mind that you should make sure to backup important files before you begin the reset process. Resetting the device to factory settings will erase all your data, settings, and apps.
