How to reset or factory restore Panasonic X68/X77 device?
Panasonic X68/X77 devices are smartphones that come with Android operating system. When you need to reset a device to its factory settings, there are two methods recommended by Panasonic. These are the soft reset method and the hard reset method.
Soft Reset Method:
The soft reset method is also known as a reboot. To perform a soft reset on a Panasonic X68/X77 device, follow these steps:
1. Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds until the device turns off.
2. Wait for a few minutes, then press and hold the power button again until the device turns back on.
Once the device has rebooted, you should see the home screen, and your device should be back to its previous state, without any responsible for losing data.
Hard Reset Method:
The hard reset method is a more extreme method than the soft reset. It erases all data and settings from the device, and restores it to its factory settings. It’s important to note that all your data and applications will be lost when performing a hard reset.
To perform a hard reset on a Panasonic X68/X77 device, follow these steps:
1. Back up all your important data to an external device, or any cloud storage service.
2. Install a USB mass storage drive on your computer using a USB cable.
3. Download the official Panasonic X68/X77 ROM image from the Panasonic website on your computer.
4. Connect the USB mass storage drive to your computer and make sure it is recognized.
5. Rename the ROM image file to “dload”.
6. Experience your Panasonic X68/X77 device by removing the battery, then press and hold the three buttons together (down volume, power, home) until you see the Panasonic logo.
7. If you see a message that says “No command” or “No Response”, then you should know that your device is not working properly and that you may need to seek Professional help.
8. Slide the volume button all the way left to begin the process.
9. After a few minutes, the device will reboot and you will see a message that says “Update Complete”.
