How to reset or factory restore Nokia 7110 device?
There are several ways to reset or factory restore a Nokia 7110 device. Here are the most common and recommended methods:
1. Charger and Volume Up/Down keys: You can use the charger and the volume up and down keys to reset your Nokia 7110 device. First, connect the charger to your device and the other end to a power source. Then, press and hold the volume up key while the device is charging. Release the volume up key and then press and hold the volume down key simultaneously. Continue holding both buttons until the device restarts and shows the Nokia logo. To confirm the factory reset, press the Volume Down key once and then the Volume Up key twice. The device will start rebooting in Recovery Mode, at which point you need to press the Volume Up key. After a few seconds, press the Volume Down key until the "Yes Factory Reset" option appears, and then press the Volume Up key to confirm. The device will reboot and the settings will be reset to their factory defaults.
2. Reset app: If you have a Nokia 7110 with Nokia S60 5th Edition, you can use the built-in Reset app to perform a soft reset. To access it, open the Phone app and dial "call 00". After you hear a tone, press and hold the 1 key until the logo appears. Then, press the 9 key once and then the 0 key once to launch the Reset app. When the app launches, you can choose to "Yes - Accept the Update", "No", or "Cancel". If you choose "Yes", the device will perform a soft reset and launch the Home screen.
3. Manual GUI reset: If you have an older version of Nokia S60 that doesn't have the Reset app, you can try performing a manual reset using the GUI. To do this, press and hold the Volume Up key and the Call key simultaneously until the Nokia logo appears. Then, release the Call key and hold the Volume Up key until the device starts rebooting. During the reboot process, you will see a menu with options such as "Factory Reset", "Auto Backup", and "Resume Last App". Choose "Factory Reset" and press the Volume Down key to confirm. The device will reboot and the settings will be reset to their factory defaults.
4. PC suite: If you have the Nokia PC Suite installed on your PC, you can use it to perform a hard reset. First, connect your Nokia 7110 to your PC using a USB cable. Then, launch the Nokia PC Suite and select "Update Device Settings" from the "Device Tools" section. In the options that appear, choose "Factory Settings" and then click the "Accept" button. The device will reboot and the settings will be reset to their factory defaults.
Note that a factory reset will wipe all data from your device, including contacts, photos, videos, and apps. Make sure you have a backup of any important information before performing a reset.
