How to reset or factory restore Motorola W230 device?
Resetting a Motorola W230 device can be a useful solution in case you are experiencing performance issues, software glitches, or simply want to start using the phone with its original settings. There are four common ways to reset the device:
1. Hard reset: This method will delete all data on your phone and restore it to its original factory settings. Before proceeding, make sure you have backed up all your important data. To perform a hard reset, go to Settings > System > Backup & reset > Factory data reset > Reset phone.
2. Software update and reset: You can also try updating the software on your device to the latest version and then resetting it to factory settings. This method is often recommended by Motorola and can help resolve many software issues. To perform this method, go to Settings > System > Software update, then allow the device to check for updates and download the latest version. Once the update is complete, go to Settings > System > Backup & reset > Factory data reset > Reset phone.
3. Wipe data/factory reset through recovery mode: This method involves booting the device into recovery mode and then selecting the "wipe data/factory reset" option. To perform this method, turn off your device, and then hold down the Volume Up and Power buttons until the recovery menu appears. From there, select "wipe data/factory reset" and then confirm the action.
4. Return to manufacture code: This method involves entering a specific code that will erase all data on the device and restore it to its factory settings. This method is often used by retailers or manufacturers to reset devices that have been returned or have that warrant invalid settings. To perform this method, turn off your device, then hold down the 1 and * buttons until the LCD screen goes blank. From there, enter the code 222 and then press and hold the 1 button until the screen goes blank again. Enter the code 333 and then press and hold the * button until the screen goes blank again. Finally, enter the code 111 and then press and hold the 1 button again.
Note: It is recommended to perform a hard reset or the software update and reset method as they will erase all data on the device and ensure a complete reset to factory settings.
