How to reset or factory restore Micromax A85 device?
Micromax A85 is a smartphone that is based on Android 4.4 KitKat operating system. Resetting your Micromax A85 can be useful if you want to start the phone with a clean slate, or if you want to resolve any issues or bugs that might be causing problems on the device. There are several ways to reset Micromax A85, as given below:
Method 1: Software Reset
To perform a software reset on Micromax A85, follow these steps:
1. Go to the home screen of your device
2. Control + Volume down
3. Once the menu options appear, select “Settings”
4. Select “Backup & Reset”
5. Select “Factory data reset”
6. A warning message will appear, confirm the reset
7. The phone will restart and boot to the recovery menu
8. Select “Install” and browse to the downloaded recovery image
9. Select “Install from SD card to phone”
10. Wait for the image to install
Method 2: Hard Reset (Bootloader)
MicroMax A85 users have the option to perform a hard reset or boot loader reset. The following are the steps for the boot loader reset:
1. Remove the battery from the device
2. Press and hold the power button + volume change (up) key
3. Wait for the bootloader to appear
4. Connect the device to computer and select “Micro abortion” from the computer
5. Wait for the computer to download the boot loader
6. Once the bootloader is downloaded, press and hold the volume down button
7. If you see the “Main screen turn off” message, you have successfully installed the bootloader
8. Now, turn off the phone
9. After turning off the phone, press and hold the power button + volume change (up) key
10. When you see the bootloader interface, select “Install from SD card”
11. Select the recovery image file and swipe to install
12. Wait for the installation to complete
13. Once the installation is complete, reboot the device
Method 3: Hardware Replacement
