How to reset or factory restore Maxon MX-C60 device?
Maxon MX-C60 is a fiber optic system that is used for long-distance communication. If you need to reset the device to its original settings, you can perform a soft reset or hard reset (also known as factory restore).
Soft Reset:
The soft reset resets the parameters and settings of the device without losing all data. You can perform a soft reset using the following steps:
1. Press and hold the Power button on the device until the red LED flashes.
2. Release the Power button and wait for the device to reset.
3. Once the device has reset, press and hold the Power button until the red LED appears again.
4. Release the Power button and wait for the device to initialize.
5. Go to the System Settings menu and select Reset.
6. Enter the Reset Password when prompted. This is a default password of "000000" (all zeros).
7. Once confirmed, the device will reset itself to its factory settings.
Hard Reset (Factory Restore):
The hard reset resets the device to its original settings and removes all data. You should only perform a hard reset if you have a valid backup of all data. Please note that after performing a hard reset, the device will be restored to its factory settings and will work as if it was newly received.
1. Ensure that you have a valid backup of all data stored on the device.
2. Press and hold the Power button on the device until the red LED flashes.
3. Release the Power button and wait for the device to reset.
4. Once the device has reset, press and hold the Power button until the red LED appears again.
5. Release the Power button and wait for the device to initialize.
6. Follow the on-screen instructions to configure the device.
Note: Soft resetting the device will erase all the custom settings and configurations made on the device. It is recommended only if you need to reset the device's parameters and settings. Hard resetting (factory restore) should only be performed if you have a valid backup of all data and want to restore the device to its original factory settings.
