What is IMFIS?

IMFIS stands for Integrated Microfinance Information System. The software system manages microfinance institutions (MFIs). MFIs worldwide use IMFIS to enhance financial management and transparency.

Requirements for application of IMFIS
  • A valid certificate of incorporation: This is a document issued by the Registrar of Companies that proves that your organization is a legal entity.
  • A valid tax identification number: This is a number issued by the Kenya Revenue Authority that identifies your organization for tax purposes.
  • A valid bank account: This is an account that your organization has with a bank in Kenya.
  • A copy of your organization’s constitution: This is a document that outlines the rules and regulations of your organization.
  • A copy of your organization’s bylaws: This is a document that outlines the day-to-day operations of your organization.
  • A list of your organization’s directors and officers: This is a list of the people who are responsible for running your organization.
  • A letter from your organization’s board of directors authorizing you to apply for IMFIS: This letter should be signed by the chairman of the board of directors.

How to apply for IMFIS

  1. Go to the IMFIS website.
  2. Click on the “Apply for IMFIS” tab.
  3. Fill out the application form.
  4. Upload the required documents.
  5. Pay the application fee.
  6. Submit your application.

Cost of applying for IMFIS
