How to reset or factory restore Huawei T158 device?
The Huawei T158 device can be reset or factory restored to its initial settings if it is experiencing various problems, or if you want to start a fresh installement. Here are the most common and recommended ways to perform a hard reset on your Huawei T158 device:
Huawei T158 Hard Reset through Recovery Mode using Volume Keys:
1. Turn off your Huawei T158 device.
2. Press and hold the Power button for 10 seconds until the Huawei logo appears on the screen.
3. Release the Power button and press and hold both the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons simultaneously.
4. Wait for the screen to go black, then press the volume up button to enter recovery mode.
5. wait for Recovery mode icon to appear on the screen.
6. Select Wipe Data/Factory Reset option with the volume keys
7. and confirm with Power key.
8. wait for the device to reset successfully.
9. Reboot your Huawei T158 device.
Huawei T158 Hard Reset through Recovery Mode using PC:
1. Install the Huawei HiLink Software to connect your Huawei T158 device to PC
2. Run More Tools> Huawei HiLink Device Manager option > Connect to the PC
3. Select Connect to PC without a USB cable.
4. Select the Option Developers Options > turn on OEM unlocking
5. Follow the instructions to unlock the Bootloader.
6. Connect your Huawei T158 device and run the HiLink Start MTK device Solution Software > connect to PC
7. Select the backup / migrate > Wipe Data/ Factory Reset option
8. Wait for the device to reset successfully
9. Reboot your Huawei T158 device.
Note: Hard reset will erase all data on your Huawei T158 device, therefore it is recommended to make a backup of all your important data before performing a reset or factory restore. Also be careful while using the recovery mode if you don't know what you are doing as it might cause permanent damage to your device.
