3. Using the Fast Boot method:
Connect your HTC Salsa to your computer using a USB cable and go to "Device Manager". In device manager you will find "List of other devices, including USB devices" and "ComPort(S)/Serial Port(S)". Right click on both of them and choose update driver. In the search box of device manager choose "Browse my computer" and select the USB cable. Then choose to enable driver signature checks. Install the latest driver and restart your computer. Then use "fastboot" to reset your phone – it is recommended to back up your data before using the fast boot method. To do this, connect your phone to your computer and type the following in the command prompt:
fastboot backupsandalist
Once you have backed up your data, type the following:
fastboot resetalluserdata
Note: Fast boot method is only recommended if you have experienced software problems and therefore should not be used if your phone is working properly.
