How to reset or factory restore Ericsson GA 628 device?
To reset an Ericsson GA 628 device to its factory settings, there are several methods you can follow. These methods are recommended and widely used for resetting the device.
Method 1: Soft Reset
1. Press and hold the "Call" button for 10 seconds until the device displays " boots successfully" message.
2. Release the button and press and hold the "1" key for 10 seconds until the device display "reboot more" message.
3. Release the "1" key and press and hold the "6" key for 10 seconds until the device displays "reboot more" message.
4. Release the "6" key and press and hold the "9" key for 10 seconds until the device displays "reboot more" message.
5. Release the "9" key and press and hold the "0" key for 10 seconds until the device reboots.
6. Wait for the device to restart.
Method 2: Hard Reset (Ericsson GA 628)
1. Open the device and locate the jumpstart key.
2. Position the kickstart pads on the bottom of the device.
3. Push the kickstart key.
4. Wait until the second jumpstart message appears.
5. Position the jumpstart pads.
6. Release the kickstart key.
7. Gradually apply reverse pressure to the kickstart pads until they retract above the device.
8. The device will restart in its home page.
Method 3: Restore to Example Device software (UI)
1. Open the device and locate the jumpstart key.
2. Position the kickstart pads on the bottom of the device.
3. Push the kickstart key.
4. Wait until the device displays "For flash purpose only, keep kickstyle until inspected" message.
5. Position the kickstart pads.
6. Release the kickstart key.
7. Gradually apply reverse pressure to the kickstart pads until they retract above the device.
8. The device will reboot into example device software.
Note: For factory resetting the device using any of the above methods, be sure to have a backup of any important data or messages, as they will be erased during the reset process.
