How to reset or factory restore BLU Energy XL device?
BLU Energy XL devices can be reset or factory restored to their original state using one of the methods described below:
Method 1: Using the Built-in Reset Option
1. Turn off the device.
2. Press and hold the Volume Down key and the Power key simultaneously until the lights on the screen flicker.
3. Release the Power key and continue holding the Volume Down key until the recovery menu appears.
4. Use the Volume buttons to navigate to the "Wipe data/factory reset" option and select it.
5. During the reset process, the device will erase all user data, applications, and settings to their default state.
Method 2: Using a Computer and BLU Energy XL USB Cable
1. Connect the device to the computer using the USB cable.
2. Install the BLU Energy XL drivers on the computer.
3. Open the "Device Manager" on the computer and locate the device.
4. Right-click on the device and select "Update Driver."
5. If the device is not recognized by the computer, you may need to enter the correct driver for your device.
6. Once the device is recognized, right-click on it and select "Properties."
7. Select "Advanced" and check the box for "Backup all item numbers with an asterisk."
8. select "OK."
9. Disconnect the device from the computer.
10. Press and hold the Volume Down key and the Power key simultaneously until the lights on the screen flicker.
11. Release the Power key and continue holding the Volume Down key until the recovery menu appears.
12. Use the Volume buttons to navigate to the "Wipe data/factory reset" option and select it.
13. During the reset process, the device will erase all user data, applications, and settings to their default state.
14. Once the reset is complete, reinstall the factory image that you created from the computer.
Method 3: Using the Recovery Mode
1. Turn off the device.
2. Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Power key simultaneously until the recovery menu appears.
3. Use the Volume buttons to navigate to the "Wipe data/factory reset" option and select it.
4. During the reset process, the device will erase all user data, applications, and settings to their default state.
It's important to note that all these methods should be done as a last resort, as they will restore the device to it's factory state, it will erase all data on the device including any files that you may have saved, contacts, settings, and etc. Also, it is recommended to back up any important data before attempting any of these methods.
