How to reset or factory restore Bird V09 device?
Resetting or factory restoring a Bird V09 device can be helpful in the following situations:
1. If your device is stuck or not responding.
2. If you want to delete all data and start fresh with a new configuration.
3. If you have not been able to connect to the device for a while, or if you want to reset the password.
There are two recommended ways to reset or factory restore a Bird V09 device:
Method 1: Using a Computer
1. Connect the Bird V09 device to your computer using a USB cable.
2. Open a terminal window on your computer and navigate to the directory where the Bird V09 device is connected.
3. Type the following command to check the name of the device on your computer:

lsblk -l
```
4. Locate the device name and note down the serial number.
5. Open a new terminal window and type the following command to check if the device is recognized:
```
ls -l /dev/ttyACM
```
6. Locate the device name (That should be the same as the serial number you noted down in step 4) and type the following command to check if the device is available, and if it is a Bird V09 device:
```
ls -l /dev/ttyACM? | grep ttyACM\|ACM0
```
7. If the device is available, type the following command to download the Bird V09 firmware:
```
wget http://www.bird.com/unified/downloads/firmware/v09.tar.gz
```
8. Extract the firmware file by typing:
```
tar -xzf v09.tar.gz
```
9. Type the following command to connect via serial port:
```
minicom -D9600 -c1 -o skywatch -s19200 /dev/ttyACM[serial number]
```
10. Once connected, press and hold the three buttons on top of the device simultaneously for a few seconds to reset it.
11. Wait for the device to reset, and once it starts, press "OK" on your computer to end the session and close the minicom window.
12. Type the following command to see if the firmware is installed:
```
startmenu --start cmd --wait --timeout --rdn --connect0=ttyACM["serial number"],115200 --wait8
```
13. If the firmware is successfully installed, you can disconnect the device from the computer.
Method 2: Using a Jumper
1. Turn off the Bird V09 device.
2. Open the device and look for the RST pin, it is located on the same side of the battery.
3. Attach a jumper wire to the RST pin and the GND pin on the device.
4. Hold the jumper wire in place for a few seconds to reset the device.
5. Remove the jumper wire and turn the device back on.
6. Download the latest firmware from the official website or from the manufacturer.
7. Open a serial port connection on your computer using a software like HyperTerminal or PuTTY.
