How to reset or factory restore Bird D680 device?
The Bird D680 device may be reset or factory restored in various ways depending on the version of firmware and operating system it is running on. Here are the most common methods recommended:
1. Hard Reset using the Volume and Power Buttons:
Press and hold the Volume Up and Power buttons simultaneously for Volume Down until the device restarts. The device will now boot into Bootloader mode. After that, press and hold the Volume Down button and connect the device to a PC using a USB cable. Transfer the firmware file to the SD card and eject the SD card from the computer. Insert the SD card into the device and press and hold the Power button until the device boots up.
2. Soft Reset using the Volume Buttons:
First, turn off the device by pressing and holding the Power button for 10 seconds. After turning off, press and hold the Volume Up button and the Power button simultaneously until the device restarts. The device will now boot into Bootloader mode. After that, press and hold the Volume Up button and connect the device to a PC using a USB cable. Transfer the firmware file to the SD card and eject the SD card from the computer. Insert the SD card into the device and press and hold the Power button until the device boots up.

Connect the Hex Reset cable to the device via the I2C pins. Make sure the device battery is charged to avoid potential damage during the reset process. Open a command prompt on your PC and configure the appropriate drivers for the Hex Reset cable. After that, enter "at+icmd" to turn on instrument command mode. Enter "at+hex" to put the device into hex mode. After that, enter "at+er" to erase the device's firmware. Once completed, enter "at+icmd" to exit instrument command mode and "at+cp" to create a new file called "firmware.bin" on the SD card. After that, eject the SD card and insert it into the device.
