How to reset or factory restore Bird D612 device?
The Bird D612 is a two-way radio of which the main objective is to communicate securely with other officers or team members. In case thekk administrative settings, keystock settings, or any other settings have gone wrong, it is recommended to reset the device to its factory settings. This will erase all data that is currently on the device and restore it to its original state. The most common and recommended ways to reset the Bird D612 device are as follows:
1. Using a back door password
If you have a back door password that is set on the device, you can use it to reset it to its factory settings. Press and hold the Power key for 15 seconds, and then release it. After waiting a few seconds, press and hold the 1 key for 15 seconds. This will bring up a menu, and then press and hold the 2 key for 15 seconds. Finally, press the 3 key, and then the Back button, and then the Carrier Connect button to enter the back door password. Once the password is entered, press and hold the 8 key for 15 seconds. This will factory reset the device.
2. Resetting the device over the air
Another way to reset the Bird D612 device to its factory settings is by resetting it over the air. This requires accessing the deviceโs Wi-Fi settings and then using an app or software to connect to the deviceโs IP address. After connecting to the IP address, you will be prompted to enter a password to access the device. Once the password is entered, go to the settings menu and select the option for factory resetting. After confirming the factory reset, the device will automatically reset to its factory settings.
3. Using the keystock key
To reset the Bird D612 device to its factory settings, you can use the keystock key. Press and hold the Power key for 15 seconds, and then release it.
