How to reset or factory restore a Alcatel OT-V570 device?
Alcatel OT-V570 is a mobile device that uses a custom operating system called Franz Computing System (FCS). Restarting or resetting the device might be useful in situations where it is being unresponsive, not working properly, or you want to delete all data and start with a clean slate.
Here are the most common and recommended ways to reset or factory restore an Alcatel OT-V570:
Method 1: Resetting via the power button
1. Turn off the device by pressing and holding down the power button.
2. While holding down the power button, press and hold the power on key button (located on the left side of the top of the device) until the device begins to turn on
3. When the device turns on, UDC 3.0 should appear on the screen. Press and hold the power button for 20 seconds.
4. Release the power button and wait for the device to reset back to home screen.
Method 2: Resetting via the Volume Down button
1. Turn off the device by pressing and holding down the power button.
2. While holding down the power button, press and hold down the volume down button (located on the right side of the device) until the device begins to turn on.
3. When the device turns on, UDC 3.0 should appear on the screen. Press and hold the power button for 20 seconds.
4. Release the power button and wait for the device to reset back to home screen.
Method 3: Factory Reset via UDC BGA method
1. Turn off the device by pressing and holding down the power button.
2. Insert a USB debug bridge cable into the device.
3. Connect the USDBDC cable to a computer with a USB port.
4. Open the UDC section of the device and decide the reset password.
5. In the device repair menu, select a full system erase.
6. Enter the password and wait for the device to reset.
Method 4: Factory Reset via Bootloader boot
1. Turn off the device by pressing and holding down the power button.
2. Press and hold the volume down button and power button simultaneously until the UDC 3.0 icon appears on the screen.
3. When the UDC 3.0 icon appears, release the power button and hold the volume down button.
4. In the device repair menu, select a full system erase.
5. Enter the password and wait for the device to reset.
Note: When resetting the device via any of these methods, make sure to create a database of all the contacts and files on your device. Also, keep in mind that these methods delete all data from the device, including the recovery password, so you won’t be able to recover any data if you don’t remember or have a backup of it.
